Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sun Quan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quan has chosen MC Hammer- U Can't Touch This as his entrance music. Mark Andrews has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Andrews!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sun Quan!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quan clinches up against the cage.
Andrews looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Quan turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Quan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Andrews down.


It looks like Mark Andrews has been cut.
Andrews parries the strikes from Quan easily there. Quan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Andrews to escape.

Quan tries for a kimura but Andrews is defending well.
Andrews managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Quan.

Quan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Andrews to his feet.
Quan chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Quan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Andrews napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Quan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Quan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Andrews is working to avoid the ground and pound but Quan connects with a decent elbow.

Andrews tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Quan cracks Andrews with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Quan is trying to get an arm triangle but Andrews is defending well.
Andrews takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Quan decides to stand back up.
Quan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Quan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Quan breaks from the clinch.

Quan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Andrews, pushing him back against the cage.
Quan is pressed up against the cage. Andrews has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Quan down to the mat. Quan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Quan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Quan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Quan is working for a kimura but Andrews is defending it quite comfortably.

Andrews looking for submissions off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Quan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Andrews!
Andrews tries to hold on but Quan postures up.
Quan is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Quan landing shots from mount.
Quan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Andrews looks a forlorn figure.
Andrews tries to hold on but Quan pushes him away.
Quan with shots to the head and body - Andrews looks very uncomfortable down there.
Quan breaks from Andrews's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Quan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


Andrews is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Andrews really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Oh Andrews is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Andrews wants to hold on but Quan pushes him away.
Quan throwing strikes here but Andrews is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Andrews seems to have got his legs back now.
Andrews is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Quan is landing with some decent strikes but Andrews is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Quan lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Andrews is bucking up trying to escape but Quan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Andrews wants to hold on but Quan pushes him away.
Quan lands a heavy elbow.
Quan avoids the attempt from Andrews to control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Andrews is looking to improve his position but Quan isn't that keen on the idea.
Quan landing strikes from the mount and Andrews is in trouble!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sun Quan dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mark Andrews's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Quan clinches.
Quan with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Quan lands a nice elbow.
Quan crunches a lovely knee into Andrews's ribcage.
Quan content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Quan breaks the clinch.

Quan clinches with his opponent.

Quan lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Andrews is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Quan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Andrews is looking for a sweep. Quan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Andrews blocking the ground and pound attempt from Quan.
Quan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Andrews knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Andrews is in trouble now - Quan has advanced to mount!
Andrews really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee warns Andrews that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quan lands a big elbow - Andrews is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Andrews is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Sun Quan!
