The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miragliani throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Beam misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Miragliani.

Miragliani closes the distance and clinches.

Miragliani breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Beam tries to land a front kick but Miragliani steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Miragliani misses with a punch to the body.
Miragliani tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Beam's elbow.
Beam using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Miragliani has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Miragliani works on Beam's body with a couple of short punches.
Miragliani fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Miragliani is looking to break free of the clinch but Beam has double underhooks.

Beam has hold of one of Miragliani's legs. Miragliani is fighting the takedown attempt but Beam gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Beam wants to get up but he can't break Miragliani's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
