Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Doe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Brown! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doe misses with a straight left. Doe is looking to score with low kicks. Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Brown shoots in looking for a takedown. Doe tries to sprawl out of it but Brown keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Doe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Doe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat. Brown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Doe's waist but Doe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brown off to one side. John Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Brown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A head kick misses from Doe. Doe throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Brown slips a jab from Doe.

It looks like Roy Brown has been cut. Doe waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Brown. Doe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe throws a lazy right hand but Brown sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Doe misses with a head kick.
Brown looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Doe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brown uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Doe. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown doesn't succeed with the takedown and Doe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown ducks under a wild hook from Doe. Doe misses with a straight left. Roy Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Doe lands with a good body shot. Brown bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe scores with a decent looking hook. Brown closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brown lands in his opponent's guard. Brown is in close to Doe's body, working some short punches and elbows. Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Doe is retaining full guard. Doe working for a triangle but Brown defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Doe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Doe keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass. Brown with a nice head shot there. Brown pushes down on Doe's leg and manages to get into half guard. Doe wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Doe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Brown wants to control from the top but Doe keeps moving. Doe looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brown working some strikes from top position. Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Doe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between Doe's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown landing with the ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Doe is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea. Doe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brown drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brown controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Doe throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Brown passes easily into side control. Nice work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brown in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Doe can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that John Doe will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Roy Brown's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Doe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. John Doe is winning the standup battle so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brown circles away quickly and effectively. The crowd cheers as Doe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Brown doesn't seem phased though.
That has opened up Roy Brown's cut even more. Brown fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Doe misses with a hook. Brown ducked under it nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! John Doe showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Doe, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
