Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Kaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Mcneilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Mcneilly has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rob Kaman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Kaman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Mcneilly! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcneilly misses with a two punch combination.
A head kick misses from Kaman. Sloppy strikes from Mcneilly. Those never looked like landing. Kaman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mcneilly swinging wildly here.
A head kick misses from Mcneilly. Mcneilly thows a body shot but no joy. Horrible takedown by Kaman or perhaps it was just good defense by Mcneilly which made him look bad. Mcneilly shoots in for a takedown but Kaman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mcneilly has Kaman up against the cage in a clinch.
Mcneilly fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcneilly looking for a takedown. Rob Kaman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Mcneilly. Kaman softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Kaman with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Mcneilly tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kaman smiles and moves away.
Mcneilly misses with a low kick. Kaman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mcneilly tries to clinch but Kaman moves out of range. Kaman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mcneilly pinned against the cage. Mcneilly gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kaman keeps the fight on the outside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kaman attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Mcneilly throws a series of punches but Kaman avoids them all with ease. Kaman throws a head kick that misses. Mcneilly misses with a wild combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Mcneilly. Those never looked like landing. Mcneilly lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kaman circles away quickly and effectively. Kaman thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Mcneilly if he has to take too many more of those.
Kaman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mcneilly digs a good hook to Kaman's body.
No luck for Kaman with that takedown attempt. Kaman throws a sloppy head kick and Mcneilly moves out of range easily. Horrible takedown by Mcneilly or perhaps it was just good defense by Kaman which made him look bad. Mcneilly looks gassed! Mcneilly wants to clinch up but Kaman keeps it at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcneilly misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kaman dips to his left and cracks Mcneilly with an uppercut! Mcneilly rushes Kaman and presses him up against the cage. Mcneilly tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mcneilly tries to pull guard but Kaman holds him up against the cage and eventually Mcneilly drops back down to his feet.
Kaman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kaman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kaman closes the distance and clinches. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mcneilly drags the fight down to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but James Mcneilly will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kaman tries to sprawl but Mcneilly drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kaman is trying to stand up here but Mcneilly is controlling him well. Mcneilly has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mcneilly controlling from mount. Mcneilly is standing up, even though he is in mount. Kaman throws a nice looking combination but Mcneilly bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rob Kaman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mcneilly shoots for a takedown but Kaman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaman clinches. Kaman with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Mcneilly fails to pull guard.
Kaman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mcneilly can't fight it off and eventually Kaman manages to take the fight to the floor. Mcneilly looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mcneilly has his hands on Kaman's head, controlling the position. Kaman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mcneilly trying to keep a closed guard but Kaman is proving a slippery customer.
Mcneilly has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kaman is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mcneilly. Kaman wants to stand but Mcneilly is controlling his arm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kaman working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Mcneilly manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kaman's best efforts. Mcneilly trying to control here.
Kaman wants to stand up but Mcneilly has a hold of him and won't allow it. This has been an exciting period of action! Mcneilly looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kaman trying to control the action but Mcneilly is working from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mcneilly gets full guard. Mcneilly looking to control.
Mcneilly is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kaman defends well. Kaman would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcneilly trying to keep a closed guard but Kaman is proving a slippery customer.
Kaman has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mcneilly to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kaman is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mcneilly pulls down on the head and he's put Kaman to sleep! This one is all over!
