Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malvin Maldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maldi comes to the cage accompanied by Loituma TECHNO!. Speed has chosen Tough as Steel by Wolfsbane as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Malvin Maldi had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maldi wants to clinch up but Speed keeps it at a distance.
Speed throws a big shot that misses.
Speed moves out of range as Maldi throws a body kick.
Speed moves out of range of the leg kick from Maldi.
Malvin Maldi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Speed lands a body shot.
Speed connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Malvin Maldi has been cut.
A combination from Speed does no damage.
No joy there for Speed, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Maldi on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Maldi is rocked!
Speed throws a shot to the body.
Oh Maldi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Speed lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Maldi can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Speed and Maldi drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Speed.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Speed! Scott Speed retains his featherweight title!
