Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Iain Durrant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durrant looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Brown is staying active underneath Durrant, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Durrant looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Durrant throws a big right hand that misses.
Brown is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Brown escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Durrant gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Durrant is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Brown had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Durrant defends it easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Durrant decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Durrant is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Durrant hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
