The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vasyuk.
Chavez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vasyuk throws out the jab.
A jab from Chavez finds it's way through Vasyuk's defenses.
An inside leg kick lands from Chavez.
Chavez walks into a left hand.
Chavez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chavez connects with a solid leg kick.
Chavez thumps Vasyuk with a low kick.
Vitaly Vasyuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vasyuk misses with a body kick.
Chavez feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Vasyuk's calf.
Chavez lands with a kick to the ribs.
Vasyuk is breathing heavily.
Vasyuk moves in looking to clinch but Chavez pushes him off.
Vasyuk closes the distance but Chavez moves to the side
and Chavez counters with a head kick.
Hugo Chavez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Chavez digs a good hook to Vasyuk's body.
Chavez drops Vasyuk with a beautiful combination! Vasyuk stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Chavez is looking for the KO!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chavez lands a head kick!
Vasyuk is rocked!
Chavez lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Oh Vasyuk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vasyuk looks up at the clock. Bad move! Chavez lands a right hand from hell, dropping Vasyuk. Chavez pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
