PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Crow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anknow Heyman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Crow is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Crow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anknow Heyman!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crow gets tackled into the cage by Heyman. Heyman maintains the clinch.
Heyman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Crow pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Crow has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Heyman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Heyman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Heyman rushes Crow and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Heyman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Crow pulls his leg out and moves away.

Heyman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Crow looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Crow is trying to control Heyman's posture but Heyman avoids it.

Heyman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Heyman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Crow manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Heyman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Heyman on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Crow throwing shots but Heyman is blocking nicely.
Crow sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Heyman defending well though.
Crow trying to control from half guard but Heyman is working away.
Crow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Heyman is pressing down on Crow's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Crow wants to control from the top but Heyman keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jack Crow just wasn't active enough.
Crow fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Heyman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Crow.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Crow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crow is breathing heavily.
Heyman leaves Crow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Heyman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Heyman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Crow can't do much from the bottom here.
Heyman working the head with strikes.
Heyman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Crow is trying to control Heyman's posture but Heyman avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heyman looking to control but instead Crow has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Crow manages to get to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Heyman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Heyman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Crow is trying to keep Heyman in close.
Crow looking to hit a scissor sweep but Heyman is one step ahead there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Anknow Heyman will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Heyman stuffs the takedown.
Heyman fails with a takedown attempt.
Crow looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Crow dives in and grabs Heyman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Heyman pushes down on Crow's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Crow. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Crow gets caught flat footed, as Heyman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Heyman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Heyman wants to stand but Crow has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Heyman passes Crow's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Heyman trying to control from Crow's half guard. Crow has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Heyman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Crow is looking to sinch up a triangle. Heyman throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Crow's body to avoid the submission. Crow has instead reached around Heyman's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Crow arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
