Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carmelo Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shown Blesso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carmelo Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shown Blesso! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Diaz as Blesso shoots in. Diaz stuffs the takedown. Diaz moves away from the strike by Blesso. Diaz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Blesso is not content to let Diaz control the position. Diaz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Blesso is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Diaz has just dragged him back down to the mat. Blesso wants to get back to his feet but Diaz is dominant here and he's now got Blesso's back! Blesso really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Diaz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Blesso manages to avoid the submission attempt. Diaz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diaz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Blesso tries to escape but Diaz is in control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Blesso is looking for a sweep. Diaz moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Blesso is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Blesso is looking to reverse the position. Sloppy strikes there by Diaz. Blesso tries to get back to half guard but can't. Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Blesso is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Blesso wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Blesso looks gassed! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Blesso looking for a sweep but Diaz has passed into full mount! Oh no! Diaz with the ground and pound from mount. Blesso is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Diaz punishes Blesso with strikes from the back mount. Diaz controlling from the back. Diaz is cranking Blesso's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Blesso! He's tightened the choke and Blesso is tapping out!
