The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palownski closes the distance and clinches up with Martigan, looking for a takedown. Palownski pushes Martigan against the cage but Martigan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Palownski doesn't manage to clinch there - Martigan circles away.
Palownski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Palownski showed some decent athleticism there.
Palownski wants to pass the guard but Martigan is defending well.
