The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Baal.
Aureus misses with a double jab.
Baal checks a low kick from Aureus.
Aureus lands a head kick. Baal smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Aureus counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Baal not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Baal working a defensive guard but Aureus manages to pass into side control anyway.

Aureus looking to break Baal's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Baal remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Aureus will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
