Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Radek Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Lorey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lorey comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kaney West- Amazing kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Lorey! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kowalski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lorey defends it nicely. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kowalski is defended easily by Lorey. Lorey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kowalski tries to avoid it but Lorey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kowalski to the ground. Kowalski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lorey shoots in for a takedown but Kowalski shows good takedown defense. Kowalski will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Radek Kowalski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kowalski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kowalski winds up and cracks Lorey with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Lorey wants to improve his position but Kowalski is controlling well.

Horrible takedown by Kowalski or perhaps it was just good defense by Lorey which made him look bad. Lorey stuffs the takedown. Kowalski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kowalski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
