The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emerson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Emerson throws a nice looking combination but Exley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Exley misses with a takedown
and Emerson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Emerson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Exley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Exley tries to clinch but Emerson moves out of range.
Exley shoots and misses
and Emerson counters with a one-two to the body.
Emerson looks to land a combination but Exley avoids it well.
Emerson scores with a jab to the head.
Emerson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Exley back to the cage. Emerson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Gabriel Emerson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Teddy Exley.

Gabriel Emerson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Exley switches off momentarily and Emerson cracks him with a monster right hand! Exley topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Emerson dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Emerson!
