Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soares's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Highway To Hell. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares swinging wildly here.
Soares throws a right and a left that both miss.
Soares missing with a left hand there. Gracie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Soares won't be happy with that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gracie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Soares has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gracie but great work by Soares.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Soares knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

Soares wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard.

Gracie looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Soares has picked Gracie up and slammed him! Gracie can't keep hold of the triangle and Soares manages to pass to side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Soares pulls his head out easily.
Soares tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Soares has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from.
Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Soares can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie has his feet on Soares's thighs here. He's pushed Soares off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Soares screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
