The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beam throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Beam moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Beam lands a slapping body shot.
A combination from Beam does no damage.

Steptoe takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Steptoe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Steptoe shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Beam manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Steptoe drops back looking for a leg! Beam is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beam manages to kick Steptoe off! Steptoe jumps back into Beam's guard.
Steptoe is breathing heavily.
Steptoe is looking to advance position but Beam has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Beam breaks from Steptoe's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Steptoe tries to hold on but Beam pushes him away.

Beam with shots to the head and body - Steptoe looks very uncomfortable down there.
