Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stevie Why!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Why throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Why throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Marsh counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Why on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Why takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A jab from Marsh does it's job there.
Marsh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Marsh connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Why's hands.
Marsh looks to throw the jab but Why is out of range.
Marsh leaves Why with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Why is defended easily by Marsh.

Why moves into range and clinches up with Marsh.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Why is fighting off a takedown attempt but Marsh is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Why to the mat. Why regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Why throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Marsh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Why swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Why looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marsh is one step ahead there.

Why looking for a guillotine here but Marsh defends easily.
Marsh trying to control but Why is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marsh pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Why is keeping the position for now.
Why is looking to sweep but instead, Marsh has passed into half guard.
Nice strikes from Marsh there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Why has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marsh is working away from the top position though.
Why avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Marsh.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Why is looking for a sweep. Marsh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Marsh blocks the strikes from Why.
Why wants to get back to full guard.
Marsh is looking to advance position but Why won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Why is trying to maintain the position but Marsh is very close to passing his half guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Stevie Why wasn't active enough on the ground.
Marsh misses with a takedown attempt

and Why counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Marsh's guard now.
Marsh trying to keep a closed guard but Why is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marsh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Why wants to control from the top but Marsh keeps moving.
Why looking to sit in guard and control but Marsh gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Marsh postures up in Why's guard and throws a big left but Why blocks it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Why looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Randy Marsh will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Why tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Marsh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Why needs to keep his hands up - Marsh had a free shot at his head there.
Marsh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Why.
Why throws a series of strikes that have Marsh backpedaling.


It looks like Randy Marsh has been cut.

Marsh manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Why on his heels. He'll look to pass Why's guard now, I'm sure.
Marsh trying to control the position from guard on top but Why is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marsh stands and throws Why's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Marsh wants to control but Why is keeping him busy.
Why struggling a bit here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Why gets back to half guard.
Marsh is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Why!
Why takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Why is wriggling around trying to escape.
Marsh scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Why?
Marsh lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.


Why is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Marsh loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Why scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Marsh land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Marsh stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Randy Marsh!
