Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacque Schtrappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Anker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schtrappe comes to the cage accompanied by Nitzer Ebb - Violent Playground. The crowd seem to be enjoying Anker's choice of entrance music: Nobody's Fool. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacque Schtrappe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pete Anker!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Schtrappe.
Anker takes one to the chin there.
Crunch! Schtrappe slams his shin into Anker's torso.
Anker tries for a takedown but Schtrappe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Schtrappe.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schtrappe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A slapping body kick lands there for Schtrappe.
Schtrappe turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Anker looks gassed!
Schtrappe's corner calls for a 1-2. Schtrappe obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Anker is rocked!
Anker takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Anker is still on wobbly legs! Can Schtrappe finish him?
A thudding body kick lands there by Schtrappe!
Anker seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Schtrappe turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Anker takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Schtrappe throws a nice inside leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Schtrappe. That's going to slow Anker down.
Schtrappe lands with a straight right. Anker didn't see that one coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Schtrappe scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Anker doesn't seem bothered though.
Anker takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Schtrappe fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Anker on the side of the head.
Schtrappe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Schtrappe walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Anker drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Schtrappe swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Anker's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jacque Schtrappe!
