Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Daaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is errtime. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

No joy there for Daaz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Reyes swats away the attempt to clinch by Daaz.
Reyes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Daaz as he jumps to the side.

Daaz drops Reyes with a right and a left! Daaz comes rushing in but Reyes regains his composure and manages to keep Daaz in guard.


Reyes is rocked!


It looks like Manuel Reyes has been cut.
Daaz pushing down on Reyes's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Daaz is thwarting Reyes's attempts to control the position.
Reyes wants to get back to full guard.

Reyes is refusing to be controlled, as Daaz sits in half guard.
Reyes has a hand on Daaz's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Daaz takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Daaz has control of Reyes's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Reyes regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nate Daaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Daaz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Daaz has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Reyes should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Daaz has tightened it up now! Reyes should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
