Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alpa Chino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chino comes into the arena with God Loves Ugly blaring out of the sound system. Knox has chosen Something I Can Never Have as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Alpa Chino has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chino lands with a shot to the body.
Knox cracks Chino with a right hand to the side of the head.
Chino clinches.
Knox tries a body shot but Chino blocks it.
Knox avoids the elbow strike from Chino, against the cage.
Chino swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Knox has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Chino avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Chino swings wildly with an uppercut but Knox uses good head movement to avoid it.
Chino prevents a takedown attempt there.
Knox jumps guard.
Chino looking to pass the guard.
Knox is trying to keep Chino in close.
Knox pulls Chino in to control the position.

Chino throws and elbow that misses. Knox uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chino's guard. Nice move by Knox!

Mickey Knox has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Knox swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chino takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Knox fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chino avoids it really well and circles away.
Alpa Chino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mickey Knox.
Chino takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Chino steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Knox. That one must have hurt.
Chino ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Chino tries to close the distance and clinch but Knox swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chino defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Knox.
Chino stuffs the takedown.
Knox connects with the punch.
Knox tries to bum rush Chino with a series of wild strikes but Chino uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Knox misses with an uppercut
letting Chino counter with a right hand.
Chino throws a head kick that misses.
Chino closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Knox to the mat! Knox manages to get full guard.
Chino throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Knox works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Chino throws a strike but Knox rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Knox sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chino's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Knox is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Knox is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Chino!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Knox jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Chino manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Knox is looking to take a break and control but Chino is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Chino darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Chino is controlling the pace.
Knox is not content to let Chino control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Chino tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Knox tries to roll over but Chino keeps him under control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Alpa Chino wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Knox shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chino defends it nicely.
Chino has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chino there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Chino looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Knox stalks Chino and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Chino's face. Chino staggers backwards, shaken.
Chino tries to close the distance and clinch up but Knox swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Knox scores with a takedown into Chino's guard.
Knox passes Chino's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Mickey Knox has got the better of the ground game so far.
Chino tries to get to full guard but Knox has control of the leg.
Knox wants to work for an arm triangle but Chino is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Knox working over Chino with some ground and pound. Chino looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Knox works his way into full mount!

Knox looking to control but Chino is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Knox lands a big shot there that rocks Chino but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Chino is trying to reverse the position but instead Knox has taken his back - oops!

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Knox.
Knox has got his arm under Chino's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Chino has spun round into Knox's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chino rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Knox moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Chino is looking for a sweep. Knox is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
