The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but McDonald swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sanchez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sanchez wants it to stay on the feet.
McDonald looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sanchez is fending him off so far but McDonald persists. Nope, Sanchez circles away and we're back to standing.
Sanchez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McDonald manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sanchez jerks McDonald's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! McDonald drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Sanchez goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Sanchez because McDonald was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
