The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Block slips a jab and a cross from Shutter.
Shutter slaps away a takedown attempt from Block, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Shutter works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Shutter throws out a powerful jab.
It looks like Christian Block has been cut.
Block fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Block changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shutter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Shutter pushes Block away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Block gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
