Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Su Baru! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Enos Erikson! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Erikson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Baru quickly recovers to half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Erikson is trying to work for a kimura but Baru is defending well.
Baru is looking to escape. Baru is refusing to be controlled, as Erikson sits in half guard. Erikson is looking for a kimura here.
Erikson is pressing down on Baru's thigh, looking to free his foot. Baru is holding on for now. Erikson is trying to control. Baru wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Baru wants to control but Erikson is keeping busy.
Baru is trying to stand up here but Erikson is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erikson is trying to control the action in half guard but Baru is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Erikson wants to pass to mount but Baru is defending the position. Baru looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Erikson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Erikson prevents Baru from improving his position. Baru tries to kick Erikson off but Erikson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Erikson in particular looking to stall. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Baru blocking the ground and pound attempt from Erikson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Erikson trying to control the pace. Erikson works his way into full mount! Baru trying desperately to get to his feet.
Erikson working away from the top, dropping strikes. Erikson has hold of Baru's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Baru manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Erikson looking to control but Baru is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Erikson working for a guillotine from mount but Baru is in no mood to give up. Baru tries to buck Erikson off but he can't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Erikson has control of Baru's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Baru regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Erikson controlling from the full mount. Baru wants to get back to his feet.
Erikson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Baru wants to use the ropes to get back to his feet here.

Erikson wants to control the pace but Baru is squirming around nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Erikson lands a heavy elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Baru really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Erikson working for a submission but Baru is keeping him at bay. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Enos Erikson dominated that round. That's time! Baru's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Baru just misses with a punch to the body.
Erikson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Erikson shoots in looking for a takedown. Baru tries to sprawl out of it but Erikson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Baru manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Erikson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Erikson showed some decent athleticism there. Baru actively working from the bottom here. Erikson works his way into full mount! Erikson looking to isolate an arm here. Baru doesn't see it coming and as Erikson extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Erikson!
