Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DIRTY BALLSACK! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Liddell! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Liddell looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Liddell closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. BALLSACK is trying to get back to full guard. BALLSACK is working hard here to advance position. BALLSACK is staying active underneath Liddell, who seems content to just control the action from this position. BALLSACK is trying to get back to full guard. BALLSACK makes his way to full guard. A much better position for BALLSACK. BALLSACK might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. BALLSACK had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Liddell is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. BALLSACK Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Liddell's back instead. Liddell is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell manages to reverse the position and now he's in BALLSACK's guard. Nice work there by Liddell.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. BALLSACK is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
BALLSACK is breathing heavily. BALLSACK isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Liddell stacks BALLSACK on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Liddell! Liddell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by BALLSACK, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Liddell tries to move to mount but BALLSACK blocks the move with his legs. BALLSACK manages to get back to half guard. BALLSACK is looking to escape. BALLSACK looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Liddell is trying to control the action in half guard but BALLSACK is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. BALLSACK flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
BALLSACK wants to improve his position but Liddell is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. BALLSACK tries to clinch up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BALLSACK drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. BALLSACK is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Liddell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. BALLSACK goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Liddell rolls with the submission and now he's on top in BALLSACK's guard! Nice work there by Liddell! BALLSACK looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. BALLSACK keeping full guard, as Liddell tries to pass. Liddell slips nicely into half guard. Liddell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so BALLSACK is just riding it out for now. Liddell eventually gives up the hold. Liddell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. BALLSACK doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Liddell. Liddell is looking to take a break and control but BALLSACK is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Quinton Liddell will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
BALLSACK feints and as Liddell raises his hands in defense, BALLSACK changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Liddell looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
BALLSACK wants to get up but he can't break Liddell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Liddell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. BALLSACK doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. BALLSACK manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. BALLSACK is pushing down on Liddell's leg trying to pass to half guard. Liddell is fighting to maintain full guard but BALLSACK has managed to sneak the leg through. BALLSACK is looking for a kimura here.
Liddell is trying to maintain the position but BALLSACK is very close to passing his half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. BALLSACK is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Liddell is just riding it out for now. BALLSACK eventually gives up the hold. Liddell is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but BALLSACK pulls his head out easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A big right followed by a crushing left from Liddell knocks BALLSACK out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
