Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Skerlik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Bernard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bernard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by My Highlights. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Skerlik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Bernard!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skerlik manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bernard on his heels. He'll look to pass Bernard's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bernard wants to sweep but no luck.
Bernard has his foot on Skerlik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Skerlik works his way back into a safe position though.
Skerlik postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bernard is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Skerlik, into his guard.
Skerlik working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bernard.
Bernard tries to free his leg and advance position but Skerlik is retaining full guard.
Bernard has gone for a leg lock! Skerlik slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bernard's guard.
Skerlik drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Skerlik seems to have locked his on tight now - Bernard screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Skerlik, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Nick Skerlik!
