The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots for a takedown but Ivanov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jones is trying to trip Ivanov. He has hold of a leg but Ivanov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Ivanov wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.
Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ivanov is keeping the position for now.
Jones trying to control but Ivanov is working from the bottom.

Ivanov is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jones dives into side control.

Ivanov rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage.

Ivanov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ivanov tries a head kick but it misses.
Ivanov drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.

Jon Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jones tries for a takedown but Ivanov manages to get underhooks.
Jones on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ivanov gets underhooks to prevent Jones's takedown attempt.
Ivanov blocks the elbow strike.
Jones letting Ivanov take a breather here.
Jones is working for takedown but Ivanov is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ivan Ivanov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones.
Ivanov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ivanov prevents it.
Jones has Ivanov pressed against the cage, preventing Ivanov from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ivanov has Jones pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ivanov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jones tumbling to the mat - Ivanov dives into Jones's guard.
Jones is looking for a triangle but Ivanov pushes his legs off easily.
Ivanov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ivanov has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones has his foot on Ivanov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ivanov works his way back into a safe position though.

Jones is trying to control. Ivanov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ivanov is trying to stand back up but Jones is controlling him
Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ivanov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jones is looking to take a break and control but Ivanov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ivanov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ivanov tries to get out of the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ivanov misses with a wild combination.
Ivanov takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Ivanov throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ivanov clinches.
Jones blocks a body shot from Ivanov.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ivanov wants to break free but Jones has control.
Jones on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ivan Ivanov.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
