Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Carlos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luis Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos shoots in for a takedown but Carlos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Carlos misses with an attempted mid kick.
Carlos lands with a slapping head kick.
Carlos misses with the combination.
Ramos fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ramos dodges the punch combination from Carlos.
Carlos lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Carlos throws a head kick but Ramos moves out of range.
Carlos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Ramos gets a takedown into half guard.
Ramos missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Carlos has hold of Ramos's hands but Ramos slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramos prevents Carlos from standing back up.
Ramos working over Carlos with some ground and pound. Carlos looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Ramos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Ramos not doing much here.
Ramos missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Ramos scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Ramos prevents Carlos from standing back up.
Carlos is breathing heavily.
Ramos content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carlos tries to kick Ramos off but Ramos keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ramos is nestled in close to Carlos, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ramos is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ramos in particular looking to stall.

Ramos has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Carlos defend it? Ramos steps over the head and cranks it - Carlos is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ramos!
