Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Auger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyron Woodley!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodley fails to land with a series of punches.
Woodley throws a big shot that misses.
Woodley throws a series of punches but Auger moves out of range.
Woodley cracks Auger with a right hand to the side of the head.
Auger fails to land with a series of punches.
Auger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Woodley.
Auger fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Auger slips a jab and a cross from Woodley.
Woodley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Auger dodges the punch combination from Woodley.
Auger tries to clinch up but Woodley circles away and keeps his distance.
Auger shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Auger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Woodley.

Woodley shoots in looking for a takedown but Auger manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Woodley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Auger uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Woodley.

Auger looks to land a combination but Woodley avoids it well.
Woodley throws a right and a left that both miss.

Woodley misses with an uppercut. Auger saw that one coming.
Auger misses with a wild combination.
Woodley misses with a jab, cross combination.

Woodley avoids a punch combination nicely.
Woodley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Woodley dodges the punch combination from Auger.

Woodley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Auger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Woodley is working away from the top position though.

Woodley is pressing down on Auger's thigh, looking to free his foot. Auger is holding on for now.
Woodley is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Auger tries to get to full guard but Woodley has control of the leg.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Woodley thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Auger's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Auger shoots for a takedown but Woodley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sloppy strikes from Auger. Those never looked like landing.
Woodley throws a lazy right hand but Auger sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Auger misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Auger gets caught napping as Woodley dives in and scores a takedown. Auger manages to retain guard.
Woodley wants to control from the top but Auger keeps moving.
Woodley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Auger kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Woodley forces his way into half guard.
Auger wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Woodley passes to full mount!

Woodley pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Auger on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Auger tries to get out of the position.

Woodley is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Auger is surviving well by controlling Woodley's body position as best he can.

Woodley is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Auger to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Auger shrugs it off.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Auger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Woodley on the ground.
Woodley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Auger is looking to escape.
Auger tries to hold on but Woodley postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Auger is squirming around, avoiding Woodley's attempts to control the action.

Tyron Woodley has got the better of the ground game so far.
Woodley lands a big elbow - Auger is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Auger is forced to tap out!
