Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adolf Hummel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burton has chosen Carcass - Keep on Rotting in the Free World as his entrance music. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Adolf Hummel has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hummel tries for a takedown but Burton circles away easily

and Burton counters with a takedown into side control.
Hummel is breathing heavily.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hummel on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Burton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hummel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hummel is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Hummel is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Burton is controlling him well.
Burton connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hummel some visible discomfort.

Burton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hummel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hummel wants to control but Burton postures up.

Burton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hummel keeps working.
Burton lands a nice forearm strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hummel is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Burton works his foot free and advances to mount.
Hummel is trying desperately to improve position.

Burton landing punches.
Hummel swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Burton punishing his opponent with strikes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hummel is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Fred Burton dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hummel on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Burton. Burton obviously looking to wear him down.
Donk. Burton catches Hummel right on the button with a cross.
Burton sizes up Hummel with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Burton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Burton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hummel wants to hold on but Burton pushes him away.
Hummel is bucking up trying to escape but Burton cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Hummel is rocked!

Hummel is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Oh Hummel is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hummel can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hummel seems to have got his legs back now.
Burton raining down hammerfists from mount.
Burton avoids the attempt from Hummel to control.

Burton loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Hummel scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Burton land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Burton stands and salutes the crowd.
