Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Takashi Kadota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Kadota! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Denton Jackson! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kadota misses with a left hand and Jackson counters with a straight right hand. Kadota misses with a looping left. Kadota lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kadota fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jackson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A big right from Kadota misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Kadota. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet. Kadota drops his hands momentarily and Jackson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kadota throws a body kick the misses and Jackson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kadota is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kadota throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kadota blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jackson. Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jackson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jackson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kadota turns into him and now he's in Jackson's guard.

Jackson is trying to get back to full guard. Kadota slips a nice elbow through Jackson's hands, connecting with Jackson's forehead. Kadota is trying to work for a kimura but Jackson is defending well.

Kadota dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Kadota's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takashi Kadota. Kadota is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. That was a close round but Takashi Kadota did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Kadota throws out a loose jab but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it.

He'll look to pass Jackson's guard now, I'm sure. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jackson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
