Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chong Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jenji Ueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ueda has chosen Requiem for a Dream as his entrance music. Jenji Ueda is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chong Li! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jenji Ueda! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ueda connects with an inside leg kick. Ueda darts in and clinches Li up against the ropes. Ueda scores with a knee to the head.
Li blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Ueda lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Chong Li has been cut. Ueda gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ueda seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Li does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Li is trying to maintain the position but Ueda is very close to passing his half guard. Li tries to kick Ueda off in order to stand up. Ueda Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Ueda trying to control the position but Li is working away. Ueda slows the pace down. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Li tries to bench press Ueda off him but Ueda keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Li manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ueda thows a huge punch but Li dodges it nicely.
Li is staying active underneath Ueda, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Li looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ueda controlling the pace. Ueda looks to land a strike but Li avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Ueda drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ueda jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Li is trying to control the position but Ueda postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ueda trying to control but Li is working from the bottom. Ueda looking to sit in guard and control but Li gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ueda wants to stand but Li is controlling the position. Ueda trying to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Li trying to control the position from guard on top but Ueda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Li in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ueda working a defensive guard but Li passes into half guard.
Li decides to return to a standing position. Ueda leaves Li with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ueda moves into the clinch. Ueda is working Li over against the ropes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ueda lands an elbow that stopped Li in his tracks for a moment. Ueda lands with a left to the head. Knees in the clinch landing for Ueda.

This has been an exciting period of action! Li fails to pull guard.
Ueda comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Ueda landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chong Li. That's going to take a lot out of him. Li is breathing heavily. Li misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ueda.

Ueda's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Li is trying to push Ueda away but Ueda has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ueda leaning against his opponent.
Ueda unloads a knee to the mid-section. Li lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jenji Ueda dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chong Li's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ueda plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Ueda tries to clinch up but Li circles away and keeps his distance. Li fails with the takedown. Ueda thuds his right hand into Li's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Li tries to clinch and Ueda counters with a thumping low kick. Ueda stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ueda wants it to stay on the feet. Li looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ueda is fending him off so far but Li persists. Nope, Ueda circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chong Li. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ueda shoots in and gets a takedown into Li's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ueda with a flurry of punches that miss. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Li not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Li pulls Ueda in close to his closed guard and prevents Ueda from doing any damage or advancing position. Ueda must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ueda trying to control but Li is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ueda showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Li tries to move into range but Ueda moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A head kick misses from Li. Ueda scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ueda gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ueda comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Ueda landing some nice looking knees to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Li jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ueda walks away with a smile on his face. Li gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ueda throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ueda fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Li, pushing him back against the ropes. Ueda gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Li.
Ueda works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Li is rocked! Jenji Ueda seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. A knee to the head by Ueda.
Oh Li is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ueda stalling.

Ueda has Li pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ueda pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Li tumbling to the mat - Ueda dives into Li's guard. Ueda is stalling in the full guard. Li not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ueda working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Li's head. Ueda has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Li looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ueda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ueda keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Li's head. Li keeping moving, preventing Ueda from controlling successfully. Li looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ueda's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ueda got a little sloppy there for a moment and Li has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ueda has managed to get both his arms back between Li's legs - danger averted. Li is trying to control the position but Ueda postures up. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Li is looking to stand up but Ueda isn't so interested in that idea. Ueda wants to control from the top but Li keeps moving. Ueda trying to stand up but can't free himself from Li's guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ueda trying to control but Li is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jenji Ueda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Chong Li's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Ueda shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jenji Ueda has got the better of the ground game so far. Li slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Li has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ueda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ueda throws a strike but Li rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ueda controlling Li's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ueda looking for a sweep. Not yet Ueda, not yet. Li gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ueda fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Li avoids it really well and circles away. Li fails with the takedown. Ueda throws a sloppy head kick and Li moves out of range easily. Jenji Ueda seems to be getting the better of the standup. Li fails with a takedown attempt. Li fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chong Li. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nice jab there from Ueda.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ueda has Li up against the ropes in a clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Ueda obliges. Ueda with a knee to the head.
Ueda goes for a takedown in the clinch but Li prevents it.
Li is trying to break the clinch but Ueda is controlling him. Ueda drops Li with a big knee straight up the middle! Li is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet! This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Li. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Ueda misses with a combination
so Li counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ueda wants to sweep here but Li controlling him for the moment. Ueda bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Li's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ueda throws a strike but Li rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jenji Ueda is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ueda manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Li shoots in but no luck this time. Li takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ueda stuffs the takedown attempt from Li. Li gets slowly back to his feet. Ueda takes the fight into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Jenji Ueda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ueda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
