Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fidel Soler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adilbek Tumenbayev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soler comes to the cage accompanied by National Anthem of Cuba. Fidel Soler had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soler is looking to clinch.
Tumenbayev fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Soler throws a hook but Tumenbayev blocks it.

Soler instigates a clinch.

Soler manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tumenbayev wants to control from the top but Soler keeps moving.
Tumenbayev wants to stand but Soler has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Soler has his hands on Tumenbayev's head, controlling the position.

Tumenbayev drops back looking for a leg! Soler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Soler manages to kick Tumenbayev off! Tumenbayev jumps back into Soler's guard.
Soler is pulling down on Tumenbayev's head to control his posture.

Soler is looking to stand back up but Tumenbayev counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Soler.

Tumenbayev should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Soler tries to roll over but Tumenbayev keeps him under control.

Soler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tumenbayev on the ground.
Soler is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tumenbayev is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Soler is trying to stand up here but Tumenbayev is controlling him well.
Soler has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tumenbayev is working away from the top position though.

We're going to have a standup here because Fidel Soler wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Soler tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tumenbayev knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Tumenbayev is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Soler stalling away here and it's allowed Tumenbayev to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Soler won't allow Tumenbayev to get back to his feet.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tumenbayev has eaten all the pies!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Soler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

You can see the frustration on Tumenbayev's face as Soler controls the position.

Soler jumps guard and drags Tumenbayev to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Soler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Soler is trying to control the action in half guard but Tumenbayev is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Soler perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Soler landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Tumenbayev slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Tumenbayev is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Soler stays in close to Tumenbayev's body and controls the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Tumenbayev is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Soler is controlling him.

Soler slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Soler wants to control but Tumenbayev is keeping him busy.
Soler remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Soler decides to stand back up.

Tumenbayev shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Soler defends it nicely.
Tumenbayev throws a solid leg kick but Soler takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Tumenbayev.
Soler misses the shot to the body.
Soler misses with a straight right.
Soler takes a kick to the side of the head.
Horrible takedown by Tumenbayev or perhaps it was just good defense by Soler which made him look bad.

Soler clinches up against the cage.

Soler has hold of one of Tumenbayev's legs. Tumenbayev is fighting the takedown attempt but Soler gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Tumenbayev keeping moving, preventing Soler from controlling successfully.
Soler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Soler tries to free his leg and advance position but Tumenbayev is retaining full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tumenbayev takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Fidel Soler.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tumenbayev looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Soler darts in and clinches Tumenbayev up against the cage.
Tumenbayev is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Soler is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Tumenbayev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Soler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tumenbayev won't allow Soler to sweep him here.
Soler has a closed guard, preventing Tumenbayev from standing up.
Soler is adopting a defensive guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
