Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Dodger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Virgulino da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). da Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Snow by RHCP. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Dodger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Virgulino da Silva! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! da Silva is looking to clinch but Dodger is avoiding it.
Dodger has taken the fight to the clinch.
da Silva effectively controlling the action here. da Silva is trying to drag Dodger to the mat but Dodger just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Dodger has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but da Silva regains guard immediately. Dodger stays in close to da Silva's body and controls the position. Dodger is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Dodger controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dodger has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Dodger makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. da Silva working a defensive guard here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Roger Dodger just wasn't active enough. da Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dodger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. da Silva tries to clinch but Dodger moves out of range. Dodger darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dodger is looking to advance position but da Silva won't allow it. Dodger prevents da Silva from standing back up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dodger in particular looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dodger is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! da Silva takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Dodger controlling from the full mount. Dodger prevents da Silva from getting the reversal. Dodger lands a heavy elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dodger punishing his opponent with strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dodger takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. da Silva wants to control but Dodger is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dodger working away from the top, dropping strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Dodger dominated that round. That's time! Dodger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
da Silva throws a head kick but Dodger moves out of range.
da Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. da Silva throws a head kick that misses. da Silva closes the distance but Dodger moves to the side and Dodger counters with a takedown into side control. da Silva is trying to escape the position but Dodger is controlling the position. Dodger landing strikes. Dodger working the head with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dodger controls the position from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dodger is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. da Silva is trying to escape and Dodger transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and da Silva is forced to tap! Nice work there by Dodger! Very nice indeed!
