Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderley Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasiliy Konovalov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souza comes to the cage accompanied by Roy Jones - Can't be touched. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza moves into the clinch successfully.
The referee calls for Konovalov to work.
Konovalov tries to score a body lock takedown but Souza shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Souza changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Konovalov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Konovalov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Souza wants to control but Konovalov is keeping busy.

We're going to have a standup here because Wanderley Souza wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Souza lands a nice shot to the body.

Konovalov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Souza walks away with a smile on his face. Konovalov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Souza's jab looks to have found its range, popping Konovalov under the eye.
Souza fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
