Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franck Pompi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devil Jho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pompi comes to the cage accompanied by French National Anthem. Jho has chosen Into the Abyss as his entrance music. Devil Jho will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jho pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pompi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jho counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pompi thinking. Nice takedown defense from Jho. No joy for Pompi on that attempt. Pompi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jho tries to avoid it but Pompi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jho to the ground. Jho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franck Pompi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pompi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pompi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Pompi working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Jho tries to reverse the position but Pompi maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pompi unloads with some shots from mount but Jho bucks and avoids them well.

Pompi landing strikes, looking to finish! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pompi lands a nice shot to the head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pompi stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Jho dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pompi. That did some damage! Jho thuds a left hand into Pompi's body. Pompi tries for a takedown but Jho sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Pompi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jho tries to avoid it but Pompi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jho to the ground. Jho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jho scores with a jab to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pompi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jho. Devil Jho is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jho tries to bum rush Pompi with a series of wild strikes but Pompi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jho clinches up with Pompi and pushes him back against the cage. Pompi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jho gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Pompi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jho smiles and moves away.

Pompi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Pompi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jho, who protects the arm well. Pompi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jho is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pompi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pompi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This has been an exciting period of action! Pompi fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Pompi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jho, who protects the arm well. Jho tries to buck Pompi off but Pompi is having none of it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franck Pompi dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Pompi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jho is looking to slow Pompi down with leg kicks. Jho slaps away a takedown attempt from Pompi, before circling back to the center of the mat. Pompi shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franck Pompi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jho, right into the meat.
Pompi shoots for a takedown but Jho saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jho moves in looking to clinch but Pompi pushes him off. Jho works Pompi's body with a nice hook. Pompi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jho gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jho presses Pompi against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pompi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jho lands a shoulder strike. A right hook to the body lands for Jho.

It looks like Franck Pompi has been cut. Pompi has Jho pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jho manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Jho throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Pompi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jho just stands there and leans against the cage. Jho lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Pompi. Pompi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jho just stands there and leans against the cage. Jho prevents Pompi from breaking the clinch. Pompi takes a shot to the head.

Jho cracks Pompi with a nice body shot. Pompi has had enough of the clinch but Jho keeps him there for the moment. Jho is pressed up against the cage. Pompi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jho down to the mat. Jho avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jho closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pompi trying to control the position but instead, Jho has worked for underhooks and has pushed Pompi into the cage. Pompi wants to get back to striking at distance but Jho won't allow it.

Jho continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Pompi fails to pull guard.
Pompi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jho avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Pompi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jho just stands there and leans against the cage. Jho lands an uppercut. Pompi tries to pull guard but Jho holds him up against the cage and eventually Pompi drops back down to his feet.
Jho works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

That's four minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jho creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A short body shot lands from Jho as the two fighters clinch.
Jho lands a right hand that snaps the head of Pompi backwards. Pompi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jho smiles and moves away.
Jho fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Jho connects with a solid leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pompi shoots in but Jho avoids the takedown attempt easily. A thudding body kick lands there by Jho!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jho chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jho thuds a left hand into Pompi's body. Jho is looking to slow Pompi down with leg kicks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Devil Jho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Franck Pompi's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Pompi is rocked! Jho throws a monster overhand right that drops Pompi! Jho follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
