Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boom Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Servata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Servata trying to hold on to Boom's head to control him but Boom postures up.
Servata looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Boom thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Servata to regain full guard. Boom stopping the sweep attempt from Servata. Servata looking to control.
Boom being controlled here momentarily. Servata avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Servata working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boom doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boom manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Boom wants to control from the top but Servata keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Servata has momentary wrist control but Boom slips an elbow through the middle. Servata is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Servata manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Servata trying to control but Boom is having none of it. Boom throwing hammer fists to the chest of Servata. What's that going to do exactly? Servata blocks Boom's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Boom trying desperately to get to his feet.
Servata with the ground and pound from mount. Boom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Servata on the ground. Boom tries to lock up and control but Servata gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Servata lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Servata with a couple of short strikes.
It looks like Boom Boom has been cut. Boom wants to hold on but Servata pushes him away. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Boom regains half guard. Servata prevents Boom from improving his position. Servata wants to pass to mount but Boom is defending the position. Boom is trying to stand back up but Servata is controlling him
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Servata connects with a nice short shot to Boom's temple. Servata looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Servata is figuring out what he wants to do next. Boom has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Servata is working away from the top position though. Servata wants to free his trapped foot but Boom is holding on for dear life with his legs. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Boom Boom. Servata shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Boom tries to clinch up and Servata counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Boom looking to control.
This has been an exciting period of action! Servata throwing strikes but missing. Servata tries to free his leg and advance position but Boom is retaining full guard. Servata throwing strikes from guard but Boom blocks nicely. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Boom looking to hit a scissor sweep but Servata is one step ahead there. Boom keeping full guard, as Servata tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Servata dominated that round. The cut man is working on Boom Boom's cut. That's time! Boom's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Boom misses the shot to the body. Boom tries to clinch but fails miserably and Servata counters with a stiff right hand. Boom tries to clinch but Servata is having none of it. Servata throws a shot from downtown. Boom moves away and avoids it. Servata swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Boom counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Boom tries to stand and escape but Servata actually recovers to full guard. Servata is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Boom is aware though and is defending well. Boom cracks Servata with a solid left hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boom preventing the sweep. Servata trying to keep a closed guard but Boom is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Boom is in close to Servata's body, working some short punches and elbows. Boom looking to pass the guard. Boom with a nice head shot there. Boom throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Boom won't allow Servata to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Boom's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Boom cracks Servata with a solid left hand. Servata keeping moving, preventing Boom from controlling successfully. Servata avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Boom lands a couple of decent looking shots. Boom postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Boom wants to control from the top but Servata keeps moving. This has been an exciting period of action! Boom won't allow Servata to sweep him here. Boom has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Servata is rocked! Boom lands a couple of decent looking shots. Servata is still in real trouble! Can Boom finish him? Boom content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Boom loads up on a big left hand. Servata felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Boom looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Servata can't hide his disappointment, as Boom celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boom Boom!
