Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luther Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Giles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pope kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is No Sunshine. Giles has chosen Rest In Peace as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giles clinches up with Pope and pushes him back against the cage.
Pope lands a hook to the side of the head.
Giles jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pope walks away with a smile on his face. Giles gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Giles doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pope cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pope tests Giles's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pope gets tackled into the cage by Giles. Giles maintains the clinch.
Pope lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Giles tries to pull guard but Pope holds him up against the cage and eventually Giles drops back down to his feet.
Luther Pope has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Giles.
Giles blocks an uppercut.
Pope works on Giles's body with a couple of short punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pope scores with a shoulder strike.

Pope lands with a left to the head.
Giles jumps guard and drags Pope to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Giles is looking for a triangle here but Pope uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Pope decides to stand back up. Pope steps back and let's Giles get back to his feet.
A solid leg kick lands there for Pope.
Pope ducks under a wild hook from Giles.
Giles shoots in looking for a takedown but Pope manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Giles's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Giles drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Giles loads up on a big right hand but Pope slips the punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Giles clinches up with Pope and pushes him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pope catches Giles with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Giles throws the left hand but Pope avoids the punch easily.

Giles gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Giles shoots in and drives through. Pope sprawls well.
Giles avoids the body shot from Pope.
Giles gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Pope counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Giles takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pope closes the distance and clinches.
Pope struggles to land a body shot inside as Giles controls his hands.

Giles misses with some punches.
Pope leaning his opponent against the cage.
Pope tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Giles tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Giles fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pope lands a left hand that snaps the head of Giles backwards.
Pope lands with a short punch from the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pope lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Giles backwards.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A left hand lands to the body for Pope.
Pope scores with a shot to the side of Giles's head.
Giles is rocked!
Pope creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Giles's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Giles drops to his knees and Pope pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
