Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cole Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayson Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rodriguez's choice of entrance music: So Cold By Breaking Benjamin. Jayson Rodriguez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phelps shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Rodriguez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rodriguez scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Rodriguez pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Phelps back to the cage. Rodriguez follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Rodriguez might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Rodriguez lands with a straight right. Phelps didn't see that one coming.
Phelps is rocked!
Phelps is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Rodriguez moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
