Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Gallagher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zulu Chaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gallagher comes to the cage accompanied by Worst Hangover Ever. Zulu Chaka told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaka tries to land a front kick but Gallagher steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Chaka closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gallagher throws a punch but it's blocked by Chaka.
Gallagher has had enough of the clinch but Chaka keeps him there for the moment.
Gallagher misses with a hook to the ribs.
Chaka stalling against the cage.
Chaka lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Gallagher lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Chaka backwards.
Gallagher tries to work over Chaka's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Chaka is looking to control Gallagher's arms but Gallagher gets an underhook and turns him. Now Chaka has his back to the cage.
Gallagher is trying to maintain a safe position but Chaka gets an underhook and turns Gallagher into the cage.
Chaka manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Gallagher pushes Chaka back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Chaka creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gallagher's defenses.
It looks like Billy Gallagher has been cut.
Gallagher is trying to break the clinch but Chaka has him pressed against the cage.

Chaka fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gallagher on the side of the head.
Chaka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Chaka throws a sloppy head kick and Gallagher moves out of range easily.
Chaka tries for a takedown but Gallagher sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Billy Gallagher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zulu Chaka.
Chaka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chaka avoids the body shot from Gallagher.

and Gallagher connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chaka swings wildly with an uppercut but Gallagher uses good head movement to avoid it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chaka tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gallagher's elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Zulu Chaka will probably get the nod.

Chaka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chaka takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Gallagher lands with a cross.

It looks like Zulu Chaka has been cut.

Good leg kick by Chaka there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Gallagher is looking to clinch but Chaka is avoiding it.

Billy Gallagher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chaka takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Chaka is rocked!
Gallagher lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Chaka is still on wobbly legs! Can Gallagher finish him?
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gallagher lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Chaka has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Chaka and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Gallagher digs a right hand into Chaka's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Chaka's gas tank.

Gallagher lands with a left to the head.

A nice inside leg kick there by Gallagher. That's going to slow Chaka down.
Gallagher throws a front kick aimed at Chaka's knee but Chaka avoids it well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
