0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darren Barrow! The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sasquatch closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Barrow's guard. Sasquatch controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Sasquatch thows a big elbow that misses. Barrow can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sasquatch controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barrow looks gassed!
We're going to have a standup here because Daniel Sasquatch wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sasquatch shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Barrow manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Sasquatch lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sasquatch is stalling in the full guard. Barrow avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sasquatch has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sasquatch slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The referee asks Sasquatch politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Sasquatch prefers to stall for the moment though.

Barrow takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Barrow struggling a bit here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Daniel Sasquatch. Sasquatch looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sasquatch lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Sasquatch stalling. Sasquatch thows a huge punch but Barrow dodges it nicely.
Sasquatch is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Barrow can do to turn this around? Sasquatch is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Barrow is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barrow won't allow Sasquatch to pass to mount. Daniel Sasquatch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sasquatch seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Sasquatch takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barrow's guard. Sasquatch forces his way into half guard. Sasquatch takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Barrow on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
