Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oliver John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Rodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver John! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jordan Rodman! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodman is looking to clinch. John shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rodman defends it nicely. Rodman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rodman fails with the takedown. Rodman tries to keep at a distance but John has taken the fight into the clinch. John lands a hook that snaps the head of Rodman backwards. Rodman has a couple of punches blocked by John.
Rodman is fighting off a takedown attempt but John is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rodman to the mat. Rodman regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. John stops Rodman from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. John controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Rodman manages to escape and get back to his feet.
John tries to move into range but Rodman moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. John tries a head kick but it misses.
Rodman ducks under a wild hook from John. John throws a one two combo.
Rodman doesn't manage to clinch there - John circles away.
Rodman tries to clinch but John moves away and John counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rodman won't be happy with that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rodman is pushing John's head away, looking to escape. John manages to hold on to the position though. John really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. John taking a breather here. Rodman is trying to get back to his feet. Rodman is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. John happy to just control the position for now. John wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rodman, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. John remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Rodman is looking to work his way out of this bad position but John is controlling him well. John wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rodman keeps working. Rodman is trying to buck John off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John stands up and beckons Rodman to his feet. John clinches with his opponent.
John gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rodman wants to get back to his feet.
John looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rodman is trying to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oliver John dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
John throws a head kick that misses. Rodman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from John. A combination from Rodman does no damage. John closes the distance and pushes Rodman back into the cage. John gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rodman regains guard.
John stops Rodman from standing up. John has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. John missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst John is controlling him. John trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rodman's guard. Rodman wants to stand up but John is controlling him. John wants to control from the top but Rodman keeps moving. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. John tries to free his leg and advance position but Rodman is retaining full guard. John stops Rodman from standing up. John trying to control but Rodman is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Oliver John wasn't doing enough on the ground. Rodman tries for a takedown but John sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. John forces Rodman back against the cage and clinches. John breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck for John with that takedown attempt. Oliver John is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. John shoots in for a takedown but Rodman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oliver John. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. John moves into range and clinches up with Rodman. Rodman wants to break free but John has control.
Rodman is trying to push John away but John has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. John breaks the clinch.
Rodman leaves John with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. John misses with a takedown attempt - Rodman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rodman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says John as he avoids it easily. John shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Rodman trying desperately to get to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. John controlling from mount. Rodman wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rodman somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! John lands a front kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rodman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Oliver John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rodman thows a left - swing and a miss! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oliver John dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
John misses with a double jab
and John takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. John shoots in for a double leg but Rodman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. John dives in and grabs Rodman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rodman pushes down on John's head and hops out. John gets a clinch. John is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rodman can't fight it off and eventually John manages to take the fight to the floor. Rodman looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rodman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst John is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters are breathing heavily. John wants to control from the top but Rodman keeps moving. Rodman wants to get back to his feet but John is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Rodman uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Rodman misses with a jab, cross combination.
John ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rodman moves away. Sloppy strikes from Rodman. Those never looked like landing. Rodman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as John throws out the jab. Jordan Rodman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodman scores with a three punch combo!
The fight moves into the clinch position. John escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
John ducks right into an uppercut from Rodman. John is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rodman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oliver John. That's going to take a lot out of him. John gets in close and instigates a clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! John pulls guard. Rodman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of John is proving hard to escape from. Rodman cracks John with a solid left hand. John knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rodman on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rodman stands up over John, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rodman is looking to stand up but John won't let him. John trying to control the position here. John has a closed guard, preventing Rodman from standing up. Rodman with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Rodman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed John's guard. Rodman tries to stand and escape but John is controlling the position. John tries to roll over but Rodman keeps him under control. Rodman escapes and gets back to his feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Rodman.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rodman. John has Rodman up against the cage in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rodman wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
John has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rodman uses from the top position. Rodman stands up from guard. Let's bang! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rodman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. John walks into a straight right hand from Rodman.
And that's the end of the fight! Jordan Rodman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think John has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
