Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ens Shaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bjj Sparbot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ens Shaba has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ens Shaba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bjj Sparbot!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sparbot throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Shaba was covering up waiting for the punch and Sparbot finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Shaba could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Shaba might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sparbot looking to sit in guard and control but Shaba gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Shaba works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Shaba is looking for a kimura here.

Shaba is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sparbot is just riding it out for now. Shaba eventually gives up the hold.

Sparbot manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shaba manages to get himself to full guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Shaba has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sparbot can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Shaba is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sparbot defends well.
Sparbot postures up in Shaba's guard and throws a big left but Shaba blocks it.

Sparbot thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Ens Shaba will probably get the nod.

Shaba bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sparbot tries to improve position but can't.
Shaba looks up at the clock and then as Sparbot takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Shaba smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Ens Shaba overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sparbot is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shaba's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shaba's back!

Bjj Sparbot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Nice takedown defense from Sparbot. No joy for Shaba on that attempt.
Shaba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sparbot pinned against the cage. Sparbot gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Shaba closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Sparbot shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Sparbot looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shaba with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
