Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johan Elia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Booker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Booker is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dont go for the one - Gaelic Storm. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that David Booker was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johan Elia! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Booker! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elia tries for a takedown but Booker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Booker looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Booker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Elia, up you get! Booker misses with an uppercut. Elia looks to land a combination. Booker sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Booker misses with a straight left. David Booker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Excellent takedown into side control there by Booker. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Booker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Elia is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Elia is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Booker's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Elia gets back to full guard.

Elia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Booker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elia tries to land a sweep but no joy. Booker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Booker is looking to stand up but Elia won't let him. Booker stands and steps away. Elia gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Booker rushes Elia and presses him up against the cage. Booker is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Elia is defending well for now. Elia fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johan Elia. That's going to take a lot out of him. Elia tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Booker just stands there and leans against the cage. Booker lands with a short shot to the head. Elia has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Booker regains guard immediately. Booker trying to keep a closed guard but Elia is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elia loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. This has been an exciting period of action! Booker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Elia sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Booker's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Booker wants to get back to full guard. Booker is in trouble now - Elia has advanced to mount! Elia punishing his opponent with strikes. Booker is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Booker is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Booker is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Elia locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Booker is forced to tap!
