Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marian Pozzollo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamus The Killer Skunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marian Pozzollo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marian Pozzollo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shamus The Killer Skunder! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skunder lands with a nice combination. Pozzollo backs away looking to recover. Skunder is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Pozzollo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Skunder has a couple of punches blocked by Pozzollo.
Pozzollo letting Skunder take a breather here. Pozzollo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Skunder smiles and moves away.
Pozzollo swats away the attempt to clinch by Skunder. Pozzollo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Skunder but Skunder pushes him off and we're back to square one. Pozzollo shoots in for a double leg but Skunder sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marian Pozzollo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pozzollo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Skunder tries to clinch and Pozzollo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Skunder's guard now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pozzollo gets to his feet - Skunder follows without any prompting. Skunder stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Skunder wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pozzollo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Horrible takedown by Pozzollo or perhaps it was just good defense by Skunder which made him look bad. Skunder tries to clinch there but Pozzollo circles away.
Pozzollo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Skunder sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pozzollo somewhat. Skunder throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Skunder gets caught napping as Pozzollo dives in and scores a takedown. Skunder manages to retain guard. Pozzollo stands and steps away. Skunder gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Pozzollo throws a nice looking combination but Skunder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pozzollo thuds a left hand into Skunder's body. Skunder tries to clinch but Pozzollo moves out of range. Skunder moves in looking to clinch but Pozzollo pushes him off. Pozzollo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skunder tries to avoid it but Pozzollo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skunder to the ground. Skunder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Skunder throws a series of punches but Pozzollo moves out of range. Pozzollo swats away the attempt to clinch by Skunder. Pozzollo shoots in for a takedown but Skunder shows good takedown defense. Pozzollo is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skunder looks for a takedown but Pozzollo sprawls well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pozzollo fails to land the takedown. Pozzollo moves into the clinch successfully.

Skunder wants to clinch. Pozzollo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Skunder defends it nicely. Skunder misses with a takedown attempt - Pozzollo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Skunder moves into the clinch. Pozzollo manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pozzollo is defended easily by Skunder. Pozzollo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Skunder throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Pozzollo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Skunder looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Skunder wants to clinch up but Pozzollo keeps it at a distance. Pozzollo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Skunder tries to clinch up but Pozzollo circles away and keeps his distance. Skunder tries to clinch but Pozzollo is having none of it. Skunder checks a leg kick. Skunder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pozzollo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Skunder wants to clinch up but Pozzollo keeps it at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skunder tries to clinch up but Pozzollo circles away and keeps his distance. Pozzollo fails with the takedown. Skunder moves in looking to clinch but Pozzollo pushes him off. Pozzollo shoots in but Skunder avoids the takedown attempt easily. Skunder tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pozzollo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Skunder closes the distance and clinches. A left hand lands to the body for Skunder.
Skunder lands a nice uppercut. A head punch on the inside from Skunder fails to land. A head punch on the inside from Skunder fails to land. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Skunder has a couple of punches blocked by Pozzollo.
Skunder misses with a short punch on the inside. Pozzollo manages to break the clinch.
Pozzollo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Marian Pozzollo will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Left hook, right uppercut from Skunder. Skunder tries to clinch up but Pozzollo circles away and keeps his distance. Skunder tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pozzollo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Skunder wants to clinch up but Pozzollo keeps it at a distance. Shamus The Killer Skunder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pozzollo darts in and clinches Skunder up against the cage. Pozzollo drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pozzollo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Skunder walks away with a smile on his face. Pozzollo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Pozzollo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Pozzollo passes to side control. Skunder is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pozzollo asserts his dominance and retains side control. Pozzollo happy to just control the position for now. Pozzollo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skunder tries to escape but Pozzollo is in control. Pozzollo sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Skunder is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Pozzollo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Pozzollo looks up at the clock and then as Skunder takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Pozzollo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Pozzollo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pozzollo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Skunder is trying to buck Pozzollo off. Marian Pozzollo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Skunder is breathing heavily. Skunder tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pozzollo throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Skunder!
Skunder looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Pozzollo is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Skunder has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Pozzollo has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Skunder taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Pozzollo doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marian Pozzollo!
