Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sindre Somme!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Somme is looking to clinch but Ryan is avoiding it.
Ryan shoots in looking for a takedown but Somme manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ryan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ryan avoids a punch combination nicely.
A jab from Somme misses.
Somme tries to clinch there but Ryan circles away.
Sindre Somme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Somme rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ryan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Somme scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Ryan gets back to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Somme lands a nice short elbow.
Ryan is trying to control but can't.
Somme wants to get back to his feet.

Somme throwing shots but Ryan is blocking nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Somme thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ryan's head.

Somme is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ryan is just riding it out for now. Somme eventually gives up the hold.

Somme is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Somme lands a nice short elbow.
Somme wants to stand up but Ryan has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Somme wants to stand up but Ryan manages to regain full guard.
Somme looks gassed!
Ryan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Ryan moves to the back position.

Somme is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Ryan controlling the positon.

Ryan looking for the choke but no joy.
Somme really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ryan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Somme trying to get back to his feet but Ryan is in full control for now.

Somme tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ryan was well out of range. Poor timing from Somme.

Somme is looking to stand up but Ryan isn't so interested in that idea.

Ryan is really struggling to control Somme but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ryan works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Ryan wants to pass the guard but Somme is defending well.

Somme looks like he's trying to stand up.

Ryan is working for a kimura but Somme is defending it quite comfortably.
Ryan stalling.

Somme is breathing heavily.

Ryan seems to be looking for submissions.

Ryan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Nice strikes from Ryan there.
Ryan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Ryan works his way into full mount!

Ryan takes Somme's back.

Ryan has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Somme is in real trouble here. Ryan gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Somme is tapping out! Ryan wins by rear naked choke!
