Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Dickens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elias Babcock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elias Babcock will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mason Dickens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Elias Babcock!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Babcock fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dickens, pushing him back against the cage.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Babcock has eaten all the pies!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Babcock.
Babcock lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dickens backwards.
Dickens is working for takedown but Babcock is calmly controlling the position for now.

Babcock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Babcock scores with a takedown into Dickens's guard.
Babcock is looking to work some ground and pound but Dickens has wrist control.
Babcock trying to control but Dickens is working from the bottom.
Babcock is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Dickens working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Babcock doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Babcock manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Babcock loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Dickens wants to sweep but no luck.
Dickens not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dickens is really struggling to control Babcock but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Dickens is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Babcock must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Babcock moves into the clinch.
Dickens changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Babcock fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dickens avoids the head kick by Babcock.

Babcock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Babcock scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Babcock lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Babcock drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Dickens shoots and misses

and Babcock counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dickens tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Babcock pushing down on Dickens's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Dickens is looking to control Babcock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dickens avoid being mounted?
Dickens is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Babcock's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Babcock's back!

Babcock just trying to survive but Dickens is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Babcock turns into Dickens and is now in his guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dickens holds on and takes a little breather.

Babcock gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Dickens takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dickens takes a kick to the side of the head.
Mason Dickens is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Babcock has hold of Dickens's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dickens seems comfortable defending it but Babcock has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dickens is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dickens is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Babcock couldn't care less - he's delighted!
