The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean throws a combination that misses
and Hoffman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dean fails with the takedown.
Dean ducks under a wild hook from Hoffman.
Hoffman circles away from the clinch attempt
and Hoffman counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Dean throws a head kick but Hoffman moves out of range.
Dean lands with an uppercut that bounces Hoffman off the cage and back into rage.
Dean tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hoffman swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Dean tries for a takedown but Hoffman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Hoffman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Dean shoots in for a double leg but Hoffman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hoffman throws a body punch but Dean moves out of range.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Donald Dean will probably get the nod.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hoffman. Dean does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dean fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hoffman avoids it really well and circles away.
