Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jens Wankerzich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Blake McThai! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wankerzich moves into the clinch successfully.
McThai is trying to maintain a safe position but Wankerzich gets an underhook and turns McThai into the cage.
Wankerzich breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McThai throws a front kick aimed at Wankerzich's knee but Wankerzich avoids it well.
Wankerzich drives through with a takedown into McThai's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Wankerzich wants to stand but McThai is controlling his posture from full guard. Wankerzich is looking to work some ground and pound but McThai has wrist control. Wankerzich's corner is telling him to maintain position. McThai keeping moving, preventing Wankerzich from controlling successfully. McThai controls Wankerzich momentarily but Wankerzich frees himself.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McThai misses with a low kick.
McThai tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Wankerzich is able to avoid easily. McThai connects with a solid leg kick. McThai throws a low kick but it's checked well by Wankerzich. A low kick from McThai is predictable there
and Wankerzich counters by moving into the clinch. Wankerzich displaying some good clinch control by pressing McThai up against the cage.
Wankerzich breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wankerzich moves into range and clinches up with McThai. McThai wants to stall.
Wankerzich working hard to break the clinch. McThai is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. McThai keeps control of Wankerzich as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Wankerzich stalling.

McThai looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wankerzich breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wankerzich checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. McThai slips a straight right by Wankerzich. McThai throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
McThai throws a leg kick but Wankerzich moved away. McThai is looking to chop away at Wankerzich's legs. McThai misses with a low kick.
Wankerzich closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McThai quickly recovers to half guard. McThai trying to control from the bottom.

Wankerzich tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. McThai is trying to control Wankerzich's posture but Wankerzich avoids it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wankerzich wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McThai has him pressed against the cage. McThai swings wildly with an uppercut but Wankerzich uses good head movement to avoid it. McThai is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wankerzich is keeping busy.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Wankerzich is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. McThai controlling the action here for a moment.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Blake McThai. McThai thows a leg kick but Wankerzich checks it
and Wankerzich counters by clinching up. Wankerzich looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. McThai has had enough of the clinch but Wankerzich keeps him there for the moment. Wankerzich lands an uppercut.

Wankerzich throws a nice looking combination but McThai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. McThai throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. McThai throws a low kick but Wankerzich avoids it.

Wankerzich moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, McThai has worked his arm free - good work by McThai!

Wankerzich looking for submissions off his back. Wankerzich trying to hold on to McThai's head to control him but McThai postures up.
Wankerzich desperately trying to maintain half guard.

This has been an exciting period of action! Wankerzich is trying to maintain the position but McThai is very close to passing his half guard. Wankerzich is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jens Wankerzich dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Blake McThai's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
McThai throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. A leg kick checked by Wankerzich. McThai throws a front kick aimed at Wankerzich's knee but Wankerzich avoids it well. McThai throws a leg kick that misses. McThai swings away with a leg kick that misses. Wankerzich tries a head kick but it misses.

 That's one minute gone in the round. McThai thumps Wankerzich with a low kick. Wankerzich throws a right and a left that McThai avoids nicely. McThai throws a solid leg kick but Wankerzich takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McThai. McThai avoids the body shot from Wankerzich.
McThai pivots, looking for a leg kick but Wankerzich is out of range and McThai settles back down. McThai misses with a low kick.
Blake McThai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wankerzich checks a leg kick. A low kick from McThai misses
and Wankerzich holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. McThai working hard to break the clinch.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. McThai is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Wankerzich is defending well for now. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. McThai looking to throw knees to the head but Wankerzich is blocking nicely.

Wankerzich pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. McThai will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
McThai does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McThai lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wankerzich has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wankerzich and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Wankerzich is looking to land body kicks.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. McThai looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Wankerzich slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Wankerzich in side control, throwing shots but McThai defends. McThai can't do much from the bottom here. McThai is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Wankerzich trying to control the position but McThai is working away. McThai is looking for a sweep. Jens Wankerzich is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wankerzich stands up. Blake McThai has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Some bone on bone action there as Wankerzich checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jens Wankerzich. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wankerzich, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
