Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Anderson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ludovic Presle! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Presle as he avoids it easily. Anderson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Presle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Anderson is looking to clinch but Presle is avoiding it.
Anderson fails to land the takedown. Frank Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anderson fails in his attempt to clinch. Anderson feints and then cracks Presle's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Presle down. Presle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Anderson was well out of range. Poor timing from Presle. Anderson shoots for a takedown but Presle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. A slow jab from Presle misses its intended target. Anderson has Presle up against the cage in a clinch.

Anderson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Presle pulls him back up using the underhooks. Presle is looking to break free of the clinch but Anderson has double underhooks. Anderson tries to score a body lock takedown but Presle shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Anderson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Anderson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Presle just stands there and leans against the cage. Anderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Presle walks away with a smile on his face. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Some wild striking there from Presle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Anderson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Presle connects with a good right hand that stumbles Anderson. Anderson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Frank Anderson has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Anderson fails with the takedown and Presle counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Anderson. Anderson misses with a low kick. Anderson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Presle throws a hook but Anderson blocks it. Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Presle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Anderson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Anderson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Presle is trying to defend but Anderson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Presle kicks Anderson off and gets back to his feet. Anderson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ludovic Presle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Anderson throws a leg kick and Anderson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Presle paws at him with a jab and circles away. Anderson moves to clinch but Presle breaks away and Presle counters with a nice uppercut. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Presle paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Anderson doesn't manage to clinch there - Presle circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ludovic Presle dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frank Anderson's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A combination from Presle does no damage. Anderson wants to clinch. Anderson tries to clinch up but Presle circles away and keeps his distance. Ludovic Presle seems to be getting the better of the standup. Anderson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Presle napping and manages to drive through into side control! Anderson misses with the ground and pound. Anderson landing strikes.
It looks like Ludovic Presle has been cut. Sloppy strikes there by Anderson. Anderson scoring with punches from side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Anderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Presle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Presle rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Anderson's guard! Nice work there by Presle! Anderson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Anderson throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Presle stands up from guard. Let's bang! Presle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Presle swats away the attempt to clinch by Anderson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson closes the distance looking to clinch and Presle counters with a one-two to the body. Anderson misses with a low kick as Presle jumps back. Frank Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Presle swats him away and circles back towards the center. Anderson tries to clinch up but Presle circles away and keeps his distance. Presle stuffs the takedown attempt from Anderson. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet. Anderson wants to clinch. Anderson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Presle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Anderson somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Anderson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Presle counters with a stiff right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Anderson dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Anderson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Anderson tries to work over Presle's front leg with a kick but Presle checks it. Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Presle as he jumps to the side. Anderson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Presle swivels and escapes. Anderson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anderson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Presle counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Presle lands a left and a right that send Anderson crashing to the mat, dazed. Presle thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Presle is stalking Anderson. Anderson circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Presle, and it's lights out! Anderson really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
