Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Matrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mickey Rogers told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matrix slips a jab and a cross from Rogers.
Rogers staying out of range there.
A big left from Matrix misses.
A nice combination there by Rogers.
Matrix lands a big uppercut and Rogers crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rogers looks OK. Matrix waves Rogers back to his feet!

Matrix is looking to land body kicks.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matrix swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Matrix throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Oh Matrix is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Matrix fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rogers manages to avoid it.
Matrix seems to have got his legs back now.
Matrix shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rogers as he jumps to the side.

Matrix throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Rogers lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rogers.

Matrix lands a big right hand that sends Rogers crashing to the mat! Matrix stays standing though and waves Rogers back to his feet!

It looks like Mickey Rogers has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rogers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Matrix moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rogers is still on wobbly legs! Can Matrix finish him?
Rogers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Matrix stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rogers's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rogers duly obliges.
Matrix shoots in looking for a takedown. Rogers tries to sprawl out of it but Matrix keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rogers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Matrix is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rogers.

Matrix throws a big shot that misses.
Rogers seems to have recovered his senses.
Matrix throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rogers counters with a nice uppercut.
Rogers moves out of range of the strikes.
Matrix connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Rogers counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rogers.
Matrix tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Rogers's elbow.
Rogers tries to throw a body punch but Matrix avoids it by throwing Rogers back against the cage.

Matrix ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Matrix no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Matrix lands a big shot there that rocks Rogers but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Matrix is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rogers to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rogers shrugs it off.

Matrix is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Rogers goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Matrix!
