The Butcher will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Gil counters with a three punch combo that has The Butcher backing up. The Butcher nods at Gil to acknowledge the strikes.

Karel Gil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John The Butcher.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gil maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! The Butcher could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gil has cracked it and The Butcher is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gil!
